How To Organise Your Study Breaks To Improve Concentration
Written on Thursday, February 9th, 2006 by Christian Stephens :: 0 comments to this post
Taking a break from studying is very important. It is usually recommended to take a 10-15 minute break every 45-50 minutes, as concentration diminishes after this time for most people. In the break, it’s a good idea to get some fresh air, go for walk, stretch, or shower etc.
It’s also important to rest your eyes by looking into the distance. The muscles around the eye tense to focus on books – they relax when you look into the distance.
During this time you ’store’ all the information you have studied for the past 45 minutes. If you continue studying for hours with no break, you are actually wasting your time because you are not allowing anything to ’sink’ in.
