About

When I was in year 12, I noticed time and time again how my peers could be helped so much to reduce stress, study more efficiently, beat procrastination, manage their time, set goals, have the right attitude, motivation … that is in general; reach their full potential.

But at the time it was difficult and awkward for me to offer advice because there was the feeling/sense; “Shouldn’t I be competing with them, so why would I be trying to help them?” but I saw there was a real need because a school just doesn’t have the time to teach those vital techniques/strategies. They barely have the time to teach what to learn, but not how to learn as well, which is crucial to success.

So the idea came to me that I could help so many future students take the stress out of study. (note: because of my medical condition I HAD to make sure nothing would raise my stress levels in year 12. (in fact, at the beginning of the year I sat down and decided on all the things I had to do to keep stress levels down, which I did. (This I can now pass on))).

I saw how devastating/almost tragic it was that some really talented, bright, hard-working kids got marks which just didn’t reflect their full potential, marks they didn’t deserve.

You may well ask, “Why should I know more than any other student?” Well, I started reading study guides when I was in year 8, so now I can confidently say I’ve seen everything to my knowledge what is available. Also, I’ve found out what works and what doesn’t through my own experience. But more importantly, those techniques which I applied and many I learned out of my own experience not out of a book and paid off and enabled me to achieve an ENTER in the high 90s.

Let me emphasize that this result was not because I am really smart, it’s because of the techniques IN THIS BOOK you’re reading. Let me point out that I failed mid-year chemistry exam in year 11. Those things which helped me achieve success are in this book, so ANYONE can use them to achieve success as well.

While I was still in year 12 I started writing down tips/suggestions/techniques/strategies which I could pass on to students who are eager to do well. Then I made up my mind to write a book…

I remember when I was in year 12 how I would have gained/benefited so much to have someone who had done well in year 12 from the year before to talk to, to guide me and give me suggestions, instead of finding it all out myself and making very costly mistakes which I could have avoided.

Anyway, after I completed year 12, I researched, wrote, researched and re-wrote…

Despite everything I know about having a positive attitude, I was still having thoughts at times, like “Come on, Christian, get real! I mean really, who’s heard of a 20 year old publishing his own book? Etc”

But then one day I saw a book on my uncle’s kitchen bench. It was Rob’s book. I read just the front cover and said to myself. Right that’s it. Here’s someone who’s done it, he’s published a book and started his own business by the age of 20!! I thought if he can do it, so can I!

And then, when I started reading the book, it said exactly that. One of Rob’s messages is: “If I can do it, so can you!”

And also, “successful people enjoy helping others become successful!”

I thought, that’s what I want to do as well, help other students do well and even better than me.
